Gai Monarcher was born on the Gainey Ranch in 1994. His stellar pedigree boasts of National Champions on both the dam and sire sides. He is a Gai Monarch son (Gai Parada X Gaishea). His dam is Anastashah (Bey Shah X Gai Annabella). That makes him a Bey Shah Great Grandson through his sire and a Bey Shah Grandson through his dam. Bey Shah appears to be more of an outcross than what you would traditionally see in the golden Gainey formula of breeding 3/4 Gainey and 1/4 outcross. That said this stallion saw great success in the show arena. Gai Monarcher was sold to Rising Star Arabians in Calistoga CA in partnership with Canterbury Arabians in IN. Gai Monarcher was shown actively from 1997 to May of 2004 in Halter, Western Pleasure and Hunter Pleasure at Scottsdale, Region 7, 11, 13 & 14. Jennifer Sloan of Rising Star Arabians sold her half of the partnership to Canterbury Arabians before 2004 when I first visited Rising Star Arabians. I saw a number of get by Gai Monarcher that Rising Star had bred. Shortly after that visit I learned that Gai Monarcher was gelded. As much as I tried I wasn't able to find out too much more about Gai Monarcher's fate. From what I learned Flois Burrows of Canterbury Arabians became Gai Monarcher's sole owner. I have owned a breeding to Monarcher for a number of years via frozen semen. I purchased the breeding from Robin Gainey. I plan on breeding Gai Monarcher to my Gai Raidannt daughter, Paradas Radiance.
