This is Paradas Radiance one of the premier brood mares that resides at our farm in the Capay Valley. Radiance is a Gai Radiant daughter. She is out of Poseja Parada a Gai Parada great granddaughter and Bask granddaughter. Gai Radiant was Top Ten Western Pleasure Junior Horse in 1995 at the U.S. and Canadian Nationals. After his prestigious wins he stood at stud at the Gainey Ranch briefly before being sold to Halsdon Arabians in England. I have been in touch with associates of Halsdon in recent years and they indicated to me the owners, Shirley and Charlie Watts (of Rolling Stones fame), were moving towards more of a concentration on Polish bloodlines. At some point I believe Gai Radiant was sold to a ranch in Australia. I cannot confirm this however. I would have bred to Gai Radiant again in a heartbeat had the opportunity been available to me. Paradas Radiance is one of the only Gai Radiant progeny in the United States. I am considering breeding Radiance to Gai Monacher, a Gai Monarch son, via frozen semen. Gai Monarch died in 2007. I think Gai Monarcher is still around. I know he was gelded sometime around 2004.
