GaiEminent with amateur rider Brian Violette

GaiEminent is one of two six year old colts at Capay Valley Arabians. Bred by myself, Jane Rinka, he was born April 23, 2004. His sire, Gai Eminence was one of the last colts born on the Gainey Ranch in Santa Ynez before the program dispersed. GaiEminent is heavy Gainey on the sire side with such greats as Gai Monarch, Gaishea, Gai Parada, and Gai Radiant in the first three generations of his pedigree. On the dam side you find Prince Parada and Gai Parada. In addition Polish lines come through his grandsire Posejdon, Bask x Portulaka. We started GaiEminent under saddle at home. We put him in training with Gretchen McDaniel of McDaniel Training. He's being trained in Western Pleasure but will do some Hunter Pleasure also. He has an amazing disposition with a true willingness to learn.  Emmie makes his debut in the show arena in May.

Zee Radiance 1980

Zee Radiance was born in 1980. This photo was taken when she was 12 years old. Zee Radiance is by Gai Warsaw by Ferzon and out of Gai Sevilla. Among other Gainey notables, she is the dam of Top Ten Western Pleasure Arabian Junior Horse Gai Radiant. Gai Raidiant is the sire of my premier broodmare Paradas Radiance.

A Lovely Gai Radiant Daughter

Radiance has a great temperament. I bred her and started her as a youngster. We've had a wonderful relationship. The Gainey tradition is breeding as much for easy handling and good disposition as beauty, and athleticism. Radiance has foaled only twice. I own a contracted breeding to QR Marc that was intended for her. Due to what I consider unethical business practices with a number of people involved in Marc's sale to Belgium I will probably never have the opportunity to breed to him. I kept Radiance open for Marc for three seasons. It is now time to move on.
